The canopy and walkway are a combination of intricacy and power, and demonstrate the welding, craftsmanship and project management skills of Maspeth Welding, Inc.

The structures are made out of tapered and built-up beams. Each beam was constructed and formed from steel plates and then welded together. Each plate a product of raw steel cut to specification.

After completion in the fabrication shop, Maspeth Welding, Inc. project managers coordinated the shipment of the canopy and walkway from the shop to the sandblasting and painting facility, and then to the sight for installation. Transportation each way mandated oversized permits and had to be transported during off hours.
